Crying over spilled Milk

Since my life is slowly changing into a fast paced one (oh, how ironic). I decided to get up even though I only managed to sleep for five hours interrupted by alarm clocks going off and Chianti (my dog)
Chianti "The Red Wine Dog" and Sasquatch
who was at that time trying to squeeze her way under the blanket. I went straight to the gym (after brushing my teeth of course) to do my workout which was basically a barbell circuit. The circuit is composed of four exercises done one after the other with minimum rest in between and a one minute rest after the last exercise then the circuit is repeated for two more times then followed with a bodyweight circuit done in the same fashion. I was literally singing "take my breath away" while panting after the workout. And again, I was the center of attention (Which got me to thinking, maybe I should audition for a movie role some time since I'm so good at drawing audiences)
TOP GUN : "Take my breath away-berlin;OST"
Arriving home, I couldn't decide what to cook for lunch. Rummaged the fridge and found a fresh whole chicken, a can of button mushroom, peppers, onions, garlic and half a cup of heavy cream. Pasta and dried herbs were in the cupboard so I told myself I think it's time to make a heavenly feast of Chicken pasta in creamy mushroom sauce . I proceeded by starting with the chicken and applied my butchery skills separating the supreme cuts making sure everything as accurate as Legolas' arrow skills. Next I gathered the aromatic and herbs with my sword of justice and everything was ready.
The chicken was seasoned with coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper, pan fried skin side down in a bit of skin melting hot oil with a dollop of dairy butter until it turns brown like caramel, turned it over to cook other side. I walked over to the fridge to get the scrumptiously velvety cream, opened the door with delight and excitement and suddenly, everything went slow motion And this music start playing in my mind . My eyes quickly saw the scenario that was about to happen. The tight capped plastic bottle tilted and slowly fell on its side and decided to slip out of the compartment so I reached out swiftly to grab the container that was slowly being pulled by gravity to the ground. With my heart beating fast and sweat slowly creeping out of my skin, I gathered all my might and challenged gravity with all my strength. My arm travelled at breakneck speed like a Nazgul aiming to bite off Faramir's head, gaining  my reach for the magical item and what happened next is something I will never forget in my whole existence in this cruel yet so beautiful world.... Gravity managed to defeat me. I fell on my knees in silence, like a soldier of Rohan who have lost a king. I asked myself, "what am I to do?" I surveyed the scene, speckles of white matter is scattered everywhere. My eyes are starting to become misty as confusion started to take over my mind!!!
........................................................................i haven't done the pasta yet ...................................... ................................................................................ As these words echoed throughout the room...What am I to do?............ ............... What am I to do? ........................................................................... .... .................................. What am I to do?..................................................................... Then I heard something from one direction say, "Sulky aren't we? Go ahead and take your time!" then from another direction someone said "Stand up my child and let your dog lick off the cream!" I tried to listen again if they can say anymore, but failed to hear a single sound. Until, The oven timer went "DING!" I was breathing heavily but was happy that I got my wits back.
So then I spent the next 5 minutes to clean the mess and revise a plan on how to cook the damn bird so I decided to make a simple gravy instead, by using the aromatics and herbs along with additional butter and flour and chicken stock. Voila, it turned into another magnificent dish. Chicken braised in herb gravy served over rice.

Lesson of the story. Stop crying over spilled milk! Well, on my case it was cream! On a more serious matter (which i'm not sure which part of it was) Don't waste your time on something that was already gone, was part of the past and something that you can never fix or get back. It would be better to let it go and don't let it haunt you. I'm not telling you to run away from it, instead, face it with your head held high (just make sure to keep it attached to your neck, please!) also, think of a positive way to fix your mess and learn from it. Oh and one more thing, stop watching the lord of the rings and listening to creepy music when blogging.
